HELP PROMOTE CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND VITAL AREA EXPERTISE

In 1972, Tempe was the first U.S. city to extend the hand of international friendship across Europe's "Iron Curtain" by launching its sister city partnership with Skopje, Macedonia.  Now in its twelfth year, the Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies seeks to continue and extend that Arizonan tradition of innovation in global citizenship, by advancing student success, use-inspired research and transformational partnerships across disciplinary, ideological and geographical borders.

When you give to the Melikian Center, you promote cross-cultural understanding and vital area expertise. Whether through life-changing scholarship support to help students learn critical languages, funding for the Center's public programming at home and abroad (including its ongoing commitment to Tempe's historic connection to Macedonia, through the Mary Choncoff fund), or investment in our faculty's world-class research, your generosity and continued investment nourish our efforts, and boost the Center's capacity for impact on pressing national and international issues
