The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is conducting the Transformational Leadership Program - Scholarships and Partnerships (TLP-SP). The purpose of the program is to develop a cadre of leaders to drive significant change in Kosovo in priority economic, political, and social development areas.
Under the Transformational Leadership Program - Scholarships and Partnerships Cooperative Agreement between The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and World Learning, World Learning and Arizona State University (ASU) are conducting a sub-grant agreement, University Partnership - ASU. This partnership between ASU and World Learning focuses on work with the University of Prishtina (UP) Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FECE). The objective of this partnership is to improve university management at UP in general and pedagogy in FECE in particular. There are three areas of interest. First, as a part of an effort to link FECE curriculum more closely to the Kosovo job market, ASU is collaborating with UP/FECE in the development of new state-of-the-art curriculum in energy engineering. Second, ASU is cooperating with FECE colleagues in advancing modern teaching methods, specifically to include capacity building for hybrid and online e-learning course delivery, and related interactive teaching methodologies. Third, to advance the already considerable FECE research capacity, ASU is working with FECE to expand access to western scientific literature and is cooperating with FECE in seminars that address cross-cutting applied research and research methodology.
This sub-grant agreement is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United State Agency for International Development (USAID). The contents are the responsibility of World Learning and Arizona State University and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.
