Keynote Presentation by Adam Michnik, Polish Historian, Former Dissident, and Editor-in-Chief of Gazeta Wyborcza (Poland’s largest newspaper).

Crisis in Ukraine: A Panel Discussion with Leading Scholars on Post-Soviet Affairs
This segment will feature a moderated panel and audience discussion led by Stephen Batalden.

Panelists:
- Stephen Batalden - ASU School of Historical, Philosophical & Religious Studies; Director, ASU Melikian Center: Russian, Eurasian & East European Studies.
- Albert Celoza - Chair of Liberal Arts at Phoenix College and World Religions and Political Science faculty; Comparative and Global Politics faculty at ASU West.
- Mark von Hagen - ASU School of Historical, Philosophical & Religious Studies and ASU School of Politics and Global Studies.
- Adam Michnik - Polish historian, essayist, former dissident, public intellectual, and the editor-in-chief of Poland’s largest newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.
- Linda Wetzel - Former manager and analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency, she is now an independent business consultant and Director of Executive Education for Country Risk Solutions.
