Cultural Currents in Modern Kosovo: Modern Art in Kosovo
Mr. Alban Nimani is a 2012 Junior Faculty Development Program Fellow from Prishtina, Kosovo. In Kosovo, he serves as a professor assistant in the Department of Graphic Design of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina. His scholarly interests include: 1) graphic design, 2) web design, 3) video and audio production, 4) interactive media, and 5) installation and performance art. Mr. Nimani has worked with the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society and has studied at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
At ASU, Nimani is working with Prof. Muriel Magenta, who serves as Nimani’s JFDP academic advisor and is a Professor in the School of Art in the ASU Herberger Institute. Among his activities in Phoenix, he is shooting a documentary film. Nimani also is sitting in on classes at ASU and presenting lectures and talks on art and culture.
