The 65th annual RMMLA convention, which will be held from October 6-8, 2011 at the Chaparral Suites Resort in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona.
The keynote speaker at this year's convention is Nelly Furman, Director of the Office of Foreign Language Programs and the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages (ADFL) at the Modern Language Association (MLA). She will give a talk entitled "Languages on Campus: From Peril to New Possibilities."
In addition, K. David Harrison, Associate Professor of Linguistics at Swarthmore College, Fellow at the National Geographic Society, and Director of Research at the Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages, will give a presentation and participate in a roundtable discussion.
