Tracking changes in land cover in the Czech borderland following the postwar transfer of Czech-Germans in 1945/46, Rasin explores the interaction between political and historical factors on the one hand on environmental and economic patterns on the other.
Robin Rasin lectures on environmental history and historical geography in the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development at Charles University, Prague. He was awarded a scholarship to Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands and has served as a visiting researcher at the Anton Melik Geographical Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is currently a visiting Fulbright Researcher at Rutgers University.
